A tufa arch with an ancient heraldic crest in the center, a loggia and a colonnade overlooking an old courtyard, a sixteenth-century dovecote tower: here the origins of our family. One hundred years of history, four generations, bearing witness to a solid winemaking tradition: this is the historical Farina. Classicism and an indissoluble bond with our land are the distinctive traits enclosed in our personal interpretations of Recioto and Amarone, wines that symbolize the heritage and evolution of wine production in Valpolicella.

Amarone Farina 2007

DOC

There are vintages to be remembered and celebrated, those in which the grape itself speaks, to convey the true beauty, to give you the certainty of an excellent result. It is enchanting to the eye, it expresses its uniqueness in withering, extraordinary colors and aromas during winemaking, it gives heady sensations to the palate while ageing in wood, such to amaze and to elevate the wine to "special selection". This is the Amarone Farina 2007, which expresses refinement and particularity even in the "dress" chosen for its 2500 bottles, as if they came from a tailor shop.

Recioto della Valpolicella

Classico DOCG

The Recioto, descendant of the Roman Retico wine and ancestor of Amarone, appears in Verona towards the end of the 1800s and binds its name to the dialectal word "recia" (ear), to indicate the most delicious, ripe and sweet part of the bunch. Cassiodorus, Minister of Theodoric, already described the particular processing technique: "the grape selected during autumn is hung upside down. It withers, it does not corrupt with ageing, and oozing the flavorless fluids, it sweetens with great gentleness". The Recioto Farina follows the traditional withering of its grapes in the fruttai (drying loft), then the aging in steel makes it an excellent accompaniment to dessert, fruity and floral.
