Ten are the hectares of land cultivated in the areas surrounding the wine farm, right in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region, plus other thirty-five hectares owned by longstanding and esteemed collaborators.
The vineyards are situated on various soils, at different altitudes, but carefully selected for their favourable position; the grapes are strictly autochthonous and respect the peculiarities of the territory.
Besides the traditional grapes (Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara), some other minor typical varieties of the region are used such as Oseleta, Dindarella, ...
The main locations of the vineyards are San Pietro in Cariano, Castelrotto, Negrar and Marano di Valpolicella.
Vineyard Montefante
The vineyard “Montefante” is situated on a small hilly area named Castelrotto, on a tufaceous, clayey and calcareous soil, with south-west exposure, at a height of 150-300 m.
Thanks to the excellent position and the favourable climate it was selected to produce our Riserva Amarone Montefante.
Vineyard Montecorna
This vineyard, from which we pick up the grapes for our Valpolicella Ripasso Montecorna, is located on a hilly area, on the Masua hill, in Pedemonte di Valpolicella.
The trellising system is the traditional “pergola Veronese” and the soil is of calcareous origin.
